Barbara and Phil are very friendly southern New Zealanders. They love to have guests at their lovely new schist stone home at 120 Mount Iron Drive, Wanaka, New Zealand. They have named their Bed & Breakfast, Montrose.

It is just a 15 - 20 minutes walk to the main Wanaka Town shops and restaurants and 5 minutes to the commercial area shops. Conveniently situated for guests to enjoy a brisk hike up the famous Mount Iron walking track for panoramic views of the surrounds or along the Aubrey to Plantation Road walking track for fabulous lake and mountain views.

Parking Plenty of off street parking available and maximum total guests only five.

Breakfast Price quoted includes either cooked or continental.

$95 NZ$ Our queen bed and breakfast accommodation. Queen sized bed adjacent to luxury guest bathroom with heated floor in winter and heated towel rails. Television and couch in bedroom. $125 NZ$ Our super king or twin singles bed and breakfast accommodation.Super King Bed convertable to twin singles, large room, direct access from outside opening out to sunny private patio. Interior door opens opposite luxury guest bathroom with heated floor in winter and heated towel rails. Large television and couch in bedroom. Cotton linen, access to tea making facilities, fridge, microwave, BBQ and laundry. Wireless internet available.

$150 NZ$ Our king bed (with own ensuite bathroom) breakfast accommodation.King Bed, plus divan sleeper if required, large room, direct access from outside and patio with superb mountain views. Luxury ensuite bathroom with heated floor in winter and heated towel rails. Television and couch in bedroom. Cotton linen, access to tea making facilities, fridge, microwave, BBQ and laundry. Wireless internet available.

$70 NZ$ Single We welcome singles and they will be placed in available room.

$180 NZ$ Family Option, 2 rooms Using our queen room and twin single room as described above. Third room available for 5th person if required. Exclusive use of guest bathroom facilities. Baby sitting available during the evenings by arrangement.

Dining Those wanting lovely views plus good food we suggest "The Reef" or "The Trout" or out to the Hawea Hotel for smorgasboard of salads with main meal. Other suggestions: Thai, Indian (Bombay Palace), The Cow (Pizza) and Finchys for atmosphere and a cosy fire.
Walk - Shorter We suggest Mt Iron, Outlet Track, Waterfall Creek, Eely Point, Beacon Point
Walk - Longer Mt Roy, Diamond Lakes, Rob Roy Glacier
Cycling Wanaka offers many bike tracks of all different levels. There are several rentals available from $30 half day, $50 a day. A map of the local bike tracks is available.
